In Lynton, there are a variety of things to do.
One of the best things to do in Lynmouth is visit the Lyn model railway. It is a must-see for railway aficionados and is modeled on a British railroad network from 1935 to 1940. However, even if you don't know anything about trains, it's worth a visit because the detailed details are fascinating. Although admission is free, donations are greatly welcomed. This is the point at which Lynmouth and Lynton become interesting. The funicular railway is the UK's only remaining fully powered water railway; it runs on water from the Lyn River and works by gently displacing the water and balancing the two cars that travel simultaneously. There were a few of these around the UK, including one in Clifton, Bristol, but they've all been phased out.For £3 each way, you may ride the Grade-II listed funicular railway, which offers panoramic views of Lynmouth as you ascend or descend. The Cliff Top Cafe, located at the summit, is the ideal spot for afternoon tea.
