Dulverton
Welcome to our family home on the edge of Dulverton, a friendly little town on
the River Barle with a relaxed pace of life and an excellent base to discover Exmoor
National Park.
We have comfortable rooms and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere together with a
superb full English breakfast served in our delightful dining room - just right
for a day of walking, riding, fishing, cycling or just exploring the lots of
hidden places by car. Winsbere is surrounded by pretty gardens and there is
ample parking, plus a lockup garage for cyclists (route 3, `West Country
Way`). All rooms are tastefully decorated with lovely country views.
Miles of waymarked walks follow the picturesque River Barle Valley to the famous, ancient clapper bridge at Tarr Steps and onwards to the highest moors. Dunster Castle, Knightshayes Court and Gardens, Wimbleball Lake, The West Somerset Steam Railway at Minehead, Lynton and Lynmouth, Dunkery Beacon, the Lorna Doone Valley and the dramatic North Devon coastline are all within easy reach by car.
At Dulverton there are shops, a bank, National Park Visitor Centre, Heritage Centre, pubs, restaurants and tea rooms.
