The historic Lynton Cottage Hotel is a real home from home, a country house hotel with spectacular sea views over Lynmouth's picturesque bay set in the heart of Exmoor National Park, North Devon.



Accommodation

All of our rooms are en suite with remote control TV and tea/coffee making facilities but best of all, each one takes advantage of the stunning location and all offer sea views.

All of our Superior Rooms have something special about them - be it beamed ceilings and roll top bath, or four poster beds and corner baths. They all have comfortable armchairs and plenty of space to sit and relax whilst taking in the spectacular views.

Good sized, quality bedrooms each with its own distinct character - some even have small balconies where you can sit and fully appreciate the views. Most have baths and showers and of course the sea view. Please note rooms with the best views book up quickly.

PUBLIC AREAS


Lounge AreaAll of our Public areas exude Country House Style, from the warm and friendly bar, the Georgian lounge to the spacious but intimate dining room. The panoramic view is evident from all of these rooms which provide you with the ideal place to relax after your day in beautiful Norh Devon.

The Terrace is particularly popular during the day for those much needed drinks and lunches, simply relax with the daily papers or just take in that view!

There is ample private car parking at the hotel.



Cuisine

"Lynton Cottage excelled with an extensively imaginative menu combining locally caught fish and traditional fare with really innovative dishes inspired by Mediterrarean and Thai Cuisine.

Local Activities

Horse Riding Horse Riding 

There are numerous opportunities to go horse riding on Exmoor. Both Brendon and Outovercott Riding Stables are 15 minutes drive from the hotel and offer fabulous rides for novices or experienced riders.
Golf Golf

Both Ilfracombe Golf Club and Minehead Golf Club are approximately 30 minutes drive from the Hotel and the championship course at Saunton Sands is about 40 minutes away.
Clay Pigeon Shooting

North Devon Shooting Ground is situated about 25 minutes from the hotel. They currently do not have a website but can be contacted by telephone on 01271 863959.
Off Road Adventures

At Keypitts Off Road Adventure centre you can experience Off Road Drives, Quad Bikes, Paint Ball Battles, Target Shooting and much much more - contact them directly on

Gardens

The mild climate created by the Gulf Stream bathing the North Devon Coast ensures the range of plants on show is a joy to see. Marwood Gardens, RHS Rosemoor Gardens and the National Trust's Arlington Court are all within easy driving distance of the hotel.
Lundy Island

Lundy Island lies off the North Devon Coast and is a haven for wild flowers and birds. Day trips can be booked directly from their website.
Exmoor Falconry

Falconry and Hawking Tuition, Summer Evening Hawk Walks together with a lovely Animal Farm with Eagles, Parrots, Goats, Rabbits etc. Contact them on 01643 862 816.
