Exmoor is one of the most attractive National Parks in Britain. It offers people of all ages a range of outdoor activities and experiences that will remain with them forever. As well as the wilderness and isolation of Exmoor which is perfect for a range of outdoor activites such as walking, trekking and searching for our famous Red Stag, you should make the time to visit some of our nearby wonderful towns and villages like Dunster, Porlock and Dulverton.

The Culbone is situated in West Somerset on The A39 between Porlock and Lynmouth. It is approximately 4 miles from Porlock and 8 miles from Lynmouth. The dramatic drive is one of the most breathtaking journeys on Exmoor.

We have five newly refurbished,  individually designed bedrooms. All doubles have comfortable king sized beds . Enjoy free car parking in our large car park, then come in and relax. There is a very warm welcome waiting for you.

Children are very welcome, we have cots, extra fold away beds that can be put up in each room and a lovely seasonal childrens menu.

We have a recently opened Cookery School at The Culbone. The Cookery School is informal and relaxed and is available for groups of 6-8 people. We love the beautiful produce that is available on Exmoor and want share our cooking secrets with you.

Sourcing The best Somerset produce is our top priority at The Culbone (the views aren't bad either!).

All of our produce is sourced locally; the award winning beef is from The Big Red Cow farm at Holnicote and the fish is fresh from Brixham.

Jack Scarterfield, our Somerset Chef (born in Bath), helped Fishworks to win many awards.

Join us in our contemporary Restaurant with 36 seats, or dine outside overlooking the Lorna Doone Valley, 40 seats.
