Southcliffe BBSouthcliffe is one of the most picturesque Lynton bed and breakfasts, situated a few minutes walk from the centre of Lynton, the stunning Valley of Rocks and the famous Cliff Railway which links Lynton & Lynmouth. It is a perfect base from which to explore the Exmoor National Park coast and countryside on foot, by car or public transport. We are also minutes from the South Coast Path.

We have five double rooms, 2 are king-size and 1 a super-king two of which have balconies, and one twin-bedded room. We are able to offer a single occupancy room at £45 per night. All our rooms are ensuite. Our balcony rooms are situated at the front of the house and have views over the village towards Exmoor. They are slightly larger than our standard rooms and have the additional luxury of accessible balconies which can be used for relaxing during the warmer weather where you can watch the world go by.Our standard rooms have views across our garden towards Hollerday Hill and are situated at the rear of the house Although we do not have any family rooms we are happy to accommodate children old enough to sleep in their own bed.

All our rooms have Freeview televisions, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, luxury complementary toiletries, good quality towels and many other extras which we believe will make your stay with us more comfortable. We are licensed and have a small selection of wines, beer and soft drinks..

We have two private car parks for the use of our guests, one at the front of the guesthouse and one at the rear of our garden.

We are proud to have been awarded a Visit Britain Four Star, Silver Award for the past nine years. We have also been awarded a Breakfast Award by Visit Britain for the variety and quality of our breakfasts.  We are  within walking distance of very good selection of restaurants and pubs.

We look forward to welcoming you to Southcliffe B&B Lynton

We also have a comfortable lounge where guests can relax after breakfast to read the daily newspapers. We have information on walks, drives, local attractions and areas and we are more than happy to sit with our guests and help plan the day. In the evening, guests are invited to relax with a glass of complimentary sherry in the lounge. We have a folder of local menus to help with choosing from the good selection of restaurants (most within walking distance).

We have tried to cater for most tastes - our menu includes the traditional full English breakfast, along with a number of lighter alternatives. We also appreciate the importance of offering a full vegetarian/vegan breakfast for non meat-eaters. Our buffet provides our guests with a selection of cereals, including granola and muesli, along with fresh fruits and juices. We also make all our own marmalade for our guests to sample.
