SIMONSBATH HOUSE HOTEL
The Simonsbath House Hotel with its outstanding views of the Barle valley is reputedly the oldest house in Exmoor Forest.  It was completed in 1654 by James Boevey the first freehold owner of Exmoor.  The house has a fascinating history .It has been in turn an inn, a private school and a country house retreat during the time of the Fortescue family.

The hotel offers a comfortable lounge with an open wood-burning fire for those wishing to sit and read or relax, a cosy bar with a wide range of malt whiskeys and a spacious non-smoking dining-room.
