Broad lawns sweep away from the house towards the sea and each path seems to lead to a more lovely view, ever-changing with the time of day and the season of the year and who can say which is the more beautiful? Perhaps the Spring, with carpets of primrose and daffodil, banks of rhododendrons or the Autumn glow of a world afire with the colours of gold, copper and bronze and awash with purples and mauves.
Woody Bay beach is a paradise for children of all ages. A beach of rock pools to satisfy the budding marine-biologist, of rocks to train future mountaineers, interspersed with sand for apprentice builders. A delightful part natural and part man-made paddling and swimming pool for those a little shy of the sea or learning to swim; and a magnificent waterfall cascading onto the beach. Our own private jetty and jetty garden to fish from or to tie up lobster pots.
For those who like a little pleasant social company in the evening, we have a games lodge withdart board, games and a pool table

There is a small supermarket and other fresh food shops in nearby Lynton (about 4 miles) and most villages in North Devon have a local store. There are some very large supermarkets and other shops in Barnstaple (about 17 miles).
